Why Swim?

Swimming cuts across all ages and gender, and as the saying goes; “anyone can swim.” The earth in which we live is surrounded by water and regardless of where you live, you may come in contact with water once in a while or constantly. As such, it is absolutely important to learn swimming. You may need your swimming skills at any point in life, even when you least expect.      


Benefits of Swimming  

Consider the following benefits of swimming: 

Recreation: swimming is one easy way to have fun with loved ones and friends. Parents can build a healthy bond with their children by swimming together. Also, you can have fun swimming with friends at the beach, lakes, and rivers or in a pool party. Swimming for fun is not limited by age and you can swim for fun throughout your life time and for as long as you wish.      

Weight Loss: obesity is now a global problem. More people are seeking for different ways to lose weight mostly through changing their diets and rigorous exercise in the gym. But if you know how to swim, you can lose weight by having fun.  Swimming can help you burn calories and maintain a healthy weight and body balance. 

Combat Stress Level : swimming can reduce stress level. As you jump into the water and swim, you’re unwinding whether you realize it or not. Stress build up overtime for several reasons and can lead to other health issues if not managed properly. Swimming is one easy way to cut your stress level for free. Also, swimming help improve blood circulation. 

Positive Aura:   it’s amazing how swimming can transform your mood and help you stay positive. Whenever you swim you may easily feel less tensed, depressed, infuriated, and frustrated. And when you step out of the water you feel more relieved with a clearer mind and positive attitude. 

Participate in Water Sports: ability to swim is often a basic requirement for all water sports. There are several water sports you may be interested in, but if you can’t swim you may be easily discouraged. Children often develop the flair for water sports early in life, if you give your child the opportunity to learn swimming, such child may reward you with several medals in water related sports including swimming.  

Build Muscles: almost all the muscles in the body are exercised whenever you swim and engage in several different strokes. Swimming can enhance your strengths generally; improve your endurance and cardiovascular fitness.  

Swimming Complements Other Physical Exercise: if you’re involved in any physical exercise, swimming can serve as a complement after your initial exercise. If you work out in the gym, or take a long walk or jog, at the end of your exercise, you can take a dive in the pool and cool off while you relax and unwind.   

Train to be a Qualified Lifeguard and Swim Coach: students who completed our swimming programme are encourage to progress to our Lifesaving 123 and BM courses. Lifeguard and Swim Coaching job is one of the highest pay job for students working during school holidays or part time.
